*SALLY EASTON MW REVIEW*
"Fresh, aromatic, grapey nose and palate. Fresh as a daisy, aromatic, peachy with a hint of saline structure. Excellent value for such a fresh, flavoursome, fragrant, dry wine." - Sally Easton MW, November 2016
Founded in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with quality. This fragrant dry white wine is made from a blend of indigenous Douro varieties: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio and Codega, from high-altitude vineyards.
Fresh aromas of melon, pear, lemon, and white grapefruit, lead to a beautifully balanced palate, with ripe fruit, lively crisp acidity, mineral notes and a lingering, elegant finish. A lovely aperitif, or pair with oysters, seafood or summer salads. Enjoy to 2018.more ↓ less ↑

There are a number of Portuguese wines that are constantly excellent quality year after year and Planalto is certainly one of them. The Douro region is more re-known for it's reds but watch the whites are equally worthy of praise. For those who enjoy an oaked Chardonnay than this is as close as you'll get yet more complex with aromas blossoms and hints of pears and melon. A great accompaniment to the myriad of fish dishes found on Portuguese menus as well as enjoying at home.
