Rob Dolan is a 6ft+ tall ex-Aussie Rules player who is as much much famous in his Adelaide home town for his wines as he is for his sport. This giant of a man makes some of the Yarra Valley's most deliciously delicate wines, that just ooze finesse and quality. Despite Rob only establishing his own winery in 2012 he has over 20 years of winemaking experience in Yarra, which is why his wines have been met with such great praise from critics and eared him the rank of 5* winery and the winner of the 'Newcomer Winery of the Year 2014' award from James Halliday.

This is a classy, cool climate Chardonnay that is well balanced and has good varietal characteristics.  The nose shows tropical fruits and toasty oak, the palate has flavours of stone fruits and a luscious creaminess and refreshing acidity. Drink now - 2023.

“Very light in colour and a discreet, subtly complex, restrained bouquet, with clean almond, hazelnut and grapefruit flavours.. Nicely balanced accessible palate...Refined and delicious” – 91pts, Huon Hooke

"This is a sophisticated, mineral-clad chardonnay etched with the attributes of a far more expensive offering. There is a hint of stone fruit, oatmeal and nougat from lees handling, and a brushstroke of vanilla across the finish, suggesting a modicum of oak in support. Mid-weighted, energetic and highly drinkable." - 92 Pts, James Halliday
