For the eight years he was Technical Director at Ch. Lafite-Rothschild, Eric Fabre was responsible for some of the world’s finest wines. Yet his dream was his own vineyard on the Mediterranean and in 2001, this dream was finally realised with Ch. d’Angles in the La Clape region of the Languedoc. With vineyards running down to the Mediterranean shore, the setting was idyllic, but Eric also recognised the potential of the terroir and the local grape varieties red Mourvedre and white Bourboulenc.
